Chanderi is Sheer

This alarms people who confuse sheer with transparent. Transparent hides nothing. Sheer has manners.

It is a blend of silk and cotton, which is how you get both a shine and a conscience. Handwoven in a small town in Madhya Pradesh, on looms that have never heard of hurry.

Legend credits its origins to Shishupala, cousin of Krishna, but we can’t be sure. What we can verify as fact is that it weighs almost nothing, which is the only kind of weight I recommend carrying.
